Posted on February 25, 2010.
Almond Coffee CakeCherry almond cake on coffee cake?

I'll make a coffee cake that is just your regular coffee cake, but it calls for the filling of walnuts or pecans, how do you think almonds would taste instead? Also, does anyone have a recipe or can imagine a thin icing for the cake I can water once it is finished which almond extract in it? Thank you

Hello dear, well I advise you to have u marshmallow frosting because it is light n thin, n if I was ui would choose a strawberry or chocolate topping flovor.

Anyway I give u the recipe:

1 white egg

2 teaspoons gelatine dissolved in 1 / 2 cup / 125 ml / 4 fluid ounces of hot water, cooled

1 cup / 155 g / oz icing sugar

ur choice of flavoring

dropos little coloring (optional)

egg whites until stiff peaks form, then continue to beat while gradually adding the gelatin mixture. Beat in icing sugar and flavorings. Continue beating until frosting is thick.

If ur eggrian, and if u eat non-veg except eggs

then for u can use ur gelatin gelatin Notice Of

If u need another recipe u can contact me on beautymortal@yahoo.com

Personally, I do not like almonds, but they would be on a cake. A "lean" can be an icing icing sugar, water, more a kind of extract. Basically, it will be a kind of glaze. Add cream cheese and it will be icing cream cheese. try foodnetwork.com for more advice. Good luck!

I think the almonds would be quite tasty. Make sure you toast them first shaking around in a dry skillet pan over medium heat for a minute or two (until they feel "nut").

Standard glaze using powered sugar, a dash of lemon juice (optional) and just enough milk to make the consistency you want (add a little at a time, it thins out very quickly). With this recipe you can substitute any extract for the lemon juice.

Below is a great coffee cake recipe that I used from a website. I remember the almonds in it. It was great. Try next time.
