Almond Flour Cake

Posted on March 21, 2010.
Almond Flour CakeI have a cake recipe that calls for a small amount of almond flour. I could not find it on my groceries?

Should I use ground almonds? Or should I just increase the quantity of flour?

From my own experience, if you grind your own almonds for the almond flour in baking use 1 T of flour for each 3 T ground almonds. It helps the house blend almond flour more easily in the bakery and not sink to the bottom.

Substitute flour for all-purpose flour almond or make your own almond flour by land to almonds in a textured ground almonds.

almond flour, sometimes called almond, is simply ground blanched kernels. It is available in many gourmet and specialty food stores and some supermarkets. Or, you can make the almond flour in a food processor or processing of whole blanched almonds in small amounts until finely ground.
almond flour can be used as a tasty, nutrient-rich thickening soups, stews, sauces and dressings. However, it can be replaced partially (up to half) in recipes of baked goods that call for all-purpose flour.
