Longevity and Age Defiance Through Good Nutrition The aged man with time is an inevitable part of life. Yet many still hope that using creams on their faces or ingesting the right kinds of food would turn back time (at least for a few years!). There are many foods that promote longevity and healthy aging. There is no magic involved and you would be surprised that most of these foods are available at the local supermarket.
Olive oil
This oil has been around for centuries the Greeks in Crete have used this oil in particular for centuries. There have been hundreds of studies that confirm that olive oil has numerous health benefits. People who use olive oil in cooking or making meals lower rates of heart disease compared to people who use a different type of oil. Olive oil is particularly rich in monounsaturated fatty acids and polyphenols. These protect the body from heart disease and other heart problems.
Fish
If you are conscious about aging, then you must make sure that the fish is a part of your diet. Fish promotes a healthy heart because it is high in omega 3. These fats prevent the accumulation of cholesterol and prevent the occurrence of an abnormal heart rhythm. Many people who love to eat fish are observed in many sheltered heart disease. In fact, the Inuit are the indigenous people of Alaska (whose diet is mainly due to fish), managed to steer clear of heart disease.
Blueberry
Another age of healthy foods is blueberries. Blueberries are known to be good for maintaining balance and concentration in good health with age. This bay is also able to reduce inflammation and oxidative damage (this event is associated with memory deficits associated with age and reduced motor function).
This means someone who eats a lot of blueberries have enhanced memory and good health, good coordination, and has characteristics more often associated with younger generations.
Foods rich in fiber
Having a balanced diet is equivalent to having a healthy digestive system. Fiber done much in the promotion of digestive health and overall health of a person.
There are many vegetables and fruits that are rich in fiber. To name a few, are: mangoes, avocados, carrots, beans, apples, citrus fruits, whole grains, nuts, and much more. Before you buy food from the supermarket, make sure you read the label and the content includes at least one of fibrous foods.
Food is an essential element of nutrition and therefore it is important to look for foods that are high in fiber because fiber is responsible for sweeping toxins from your body system.
Recommendation
The elderly suffer from disorders such as constipation or incontinence, the difference in memory, and be less agile. Eat foods from all the anti-aging that have been mentioned, not only make you younger, but they make you feel younger too.
If you are not getting enough fruits and vegetables, then it is time for a change. People who suffer from diseases that many people do not have a healthy diet, it is not yet well known to many are still not taken into account.
If your time is what made you take the instant food, then you can always load on the fiber and other nutrients by eating fruit and power bars instead. Grabbing an apple is much easier than heating a meal time in your microwave oven! Keep a list of foods that are easy to buy and prepare. Before you know it, your eating habits have changed for the better.
