Black Walnut Flavoring

Posted on January 30, 2010.
Black Walnut FlavoringWhere in the world that I can buy black walnut flavoring? Can I use almond taste as a substitute?

This morning I went to three stores and none of them had it. I wanted to make a cake pc, just like Gramma, picnic with my brother. We only do this once a year (the picnic), and I failed to make my cake. t Only my brothers can really enjoy this recipe, doesn because Gramma "do more, but I do. I also do a lemon cake as she did. Why not sell?

Dean & Delucca, Williams Sonoma or germs, Wild Oats, Jimbos, Henry - one of the natural markets should prevail. They do here. I agree with the response of other, almond is a bit special. Europeans use this flavoring lot, so if you have a German market close call and ask.

I think you need a supplier of specialty foods to buy this. I do not think almonds would be a good sustitute almonds have a distinctive taste and it would probably ruin your cake. Have you tried to get black walnut flavouringon Google? I hope you managed to get some.
