Bubblegum Factory

Posted on February 12, 2010.
Bubblegum FactoryIf I remove my spoiler will be the glue used to damage my paint spoiler?

I finally found a real factory spoiler that fits my Subaru WRX. Since my spare wing lies more, I noticed that a small part of my trunk is exposed once they install the OEM spoiler.

I see that my spoiler was installed using a sticky, glue grayish with the consistency of chewing gum. Should I worry about this ruining my trunk sticks origin, or if the glue is easy to remove? I'm not worried about drilling holes exposed, because the spoiler parts (and the OEM is installed) to use the hole locations of origin.

Thank you!

Where is the consistency of gum, I would not worry too much, just buy and adhesive remover that is safe for car paint shop parts must be something. You might as well make a small section to see what if anything it will do to the paint. Most likely, if something happens you can buff and give it a good wax.
