Calories In Unpopped Popcorn

I checked the box in microwave popcorn and saw that there were two columns of the nutritional value of the item: one for "2 tablespoons. To break (about 160 calories or almost) and "1 cup of corn" (only 35 calories). So my question is ... how is this possible? " Honestly, I expected the opposite ...!

popcorn are simple beans.
