Camping Food PacksEasy Camping Food

When you think of camp often think "what is an easy camping food I can take?" It may vary depending on the type somwhat camping you do, but overall, if you do other things than food and dried RV camping are the best and easiest to carry with you.

Naturally when you are camping in your RV you about the comfort of home and do not really require much effort to put in your meal plan. You have a refrigerator and stove and do not really need to consider what may be the easiest food to prepare.

On the other hand, if you are camping in a tent and trying to set up your meal plan and dried foods are your best choice. I usually take along some packets of Lipton Sidekicks or rice dishes. The beauty of taking food, as it is along that it does not require you to drag a giant cooler to keep all costs and expenses. Secondly, it does not really tend to feel as strongly as the food stored in a cooler. This, in my mind, means that fewer animals will be attracted by it and therefore less likely to be a nuisance in the night.

Whatever type of food you provide, however, be sure you do not keep it in your tent. You do not want to wake up in the middle of the night to find you directly in the path of the source of food for animals.

My favorite way to plan for some good food while I camp is dehydrating my own food. I do everything from chili to spaghetti sauce to beef stews and hearty barley. The dehydration cost me less than fifty dollars and I envied my friends several times on the track that I just had to add water to my chili and reheat. Speak easy camping food! It tastes like it did when I did two months ago!

Another advantage to the dry, of course, is that it is also lighter because all water content has been removed. This makes food significantly lighter to carry, and does not require the cooler to keep it fresh, so it's really more of an advantage when planning your food properly, especially if you're hiking and bag back.

Whatever type of food you take camping well be sure to pack your waste. We do not want to spoil our woods and rivers with cans and food wrappers.
