Chocolate Trail Mix

Posted on February 9, 2010.
Chocolate Trail MixDried fruit chocolate in trail mix? What is the healthiest?

I make some homemade trail mix: oats, flax seed, soy nuts, with a little honey and cinnamon. But I'm looking for something to soften a bit. If a nut is the best choice, what kind would be healthier, apricots, dates, cranberries, etc.? If chocolate is the best choice, I probably will not be using dark chocolate, although it is the healthiest choice, I'd probably use white chocolate, so please keep that in the mind. Thank you very much!

The dried fruit is healthy, but make sure it has no added sugar.

Dark chocolate is very healthy.
Dried fruits can also be healthy, but many firms may tend to add a large quantity of sugar for them. Blueberries are very healthy, and apricoats, strawberries, etc. Just be sure to check for sugar, "he added."

It really depends, but the white chocolate and milk chocolate are certainly not definitive as healthy.

White chocolate is very unhealthy. The dates are good, but messy. Use "crasins" and apricots. So if you buy sunflower seeds coated in chocolate they will be an acceptable way to add the chocolate mixture.

White chocolate is not chocolate. It's just candy.

I would use dried cranberries and raisins.

dried fruit, of course, and I suggest your examples, as well as bananas and do not forget WHY!

The dried fruit is much healthier. ~
