Christmas Cracker Kits

Posted on January 15, 2010.
Christmas Cracker KitsWhen is it time to throw the sealed instant meals (think of the army)?

I'm doing some cleaning and found a survival kit for the army my grandfather sent me from 2000 (Y2K fear) and it has a bunch of ready to eat, each packaged meals. Inside are sealed baked beans, pound cake, powdered Kool-Aid, apple jelly, and crackers. There are also tablets to purify water. Is there any reason to keep (the Apocalypse, historical value, terrible Christmas present for someone I hate) or do I trash?

Trash it please. You really would not like to eat in any way.

Well you've had it for 10 years, you might as well keep it around two more, come 2012 ...

If it is not expired (most food has an expiration date indicated on it), just to give someone. I do not want to lose him.
