The myth of 100% complete pet food Every day, millions of people make food from a package in a bowl of their pet. Day after day, meal after meal, pets get the same rate. This strange phenomenon is widely practiced by loving pet owners who think they are doing the right thing.
Why? Certainly because it is convenient, but also because the labels indicate that these foods are "complete and balanced", "100% complete", or they have adopted different standards of analytical testing and food . In addition, manufacturers and even veterinarians, pet owners of the lawyer not to eat other foods such as table scraps, because of the danger of imbalance in these modern processed nutritional marvels. The power of the message is so great that pet owners en masse to do each day for their animals they would never do for themselves or their children - force-feed the same processed foods at each meal.

Think about it. Our world is complex beyond understanding. It is not only largely unknown, it is unknowable in the "complete" sense. For nutritionists and manufacturers to produce a "100% complete and balanced" pet food, they must first know 100% about nutrition. However, nutrition is not a completed science. It is, in fact, a global science, which is based on other sciences such as chemistry, physics and biology. But since no scientist would say that everything is known in chemistry or physics or biology, how can nutritionists claim to know everything there is to know on nutrition, based on these sciences? It is the logical absurdity of the "100% complete and balanced diet claim." Therefore, a similar business to feed babies a "100% complete" formula turned out to be a health disaster.

In this case, after illness and death caused enough attempt to remove the human heart to a mere appendage to the dress, the government intervened and controlled the commercial hype. Now, doctors, nurses and suppliers of milk powder can not say that these products are complete or they are equal or superior to breastfeeding. Good for the regulators. (Although they should have been proactive and has prevented the disaster before it ever took root, not just the death occurred after sufficient charges.)
Even with this lesson as a serious warning, the regulation of foods for pets to ignore. Instead of preventing food producers pet to claim a mixture of processed food is 100% complete, they in fact promote the mortality and morbidity contractor specious claim by setting standards that are false supposed to justify and authenticate the request. They legitimize sloppy science in order to gain the trust of consumers. Every manufacturer has to do is ensure that their percentage of protein, fat, etc. meets the National Research Council standards. Alternatively, manufacturers may make feeding trials on laboratory animals in cages for several weeks, the parameters for measuring the surface tension, and monitor growth and weight - as if survival after a few weeks on food Food has nothing to do with optimal health and long life!
Down the Primrose Path million trust of pet owners will then at the same time unknowingly condemning their pets to terrible degenerative diseases. the regulation of foods for animals, then spend much of their time harassing companies with feed requirements Picayune on terminology on packaging and where certain words must be placed on labels. In regard manufacturers must contend with the USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture), FDA (Food and Drug Administration), the AAFCO (American Association responsible for supervision of animal feed), and 50 regulatory bodies State power. All for nothing. It's like the entire police force busy.
