You will also see that most of these promotions do something creative with their product or service that the user activity.
Sad Friends
McCann Erickson Advertising in Israel has created a great Facebook application for Yellow Retail, a provider of online games and novelty items. This app search for friends and finds "Sad Friends' updates status as" I'm depressed, "" I am alone, "" I'm bored ", etc. Then they sent a notification with a coupon for a free game to Yellow detail. It's cool - and it's related to a function with a Facebook product benefit.
Ikea - Showroom
This campaign was a new Ikea store that used by default "marking" tool on Facebook to help create excitement for a contest. People have said to tag their names on any element, and the first who would be the winning run. The moment you've spotted something, everyone in your network with current and soon thousands of people have been flooding the Facebook page looking for free gifts. The campaign was an instant success.

But there was a catch - it was a one way ticket. This served as a promotion for a new airline and it has also helped develop the top V Australia's Facebook fan from 1,200 to over 11,000 in one week. Whopper Sacrifice
The idea behind "Whopper Sacrifice" is quite simple - ten delete your Facebook friends and get a free Whopper. It is fast because the end of the year more than 50,000 friends had been deleted.
But the removal of friends is not what is on Facebook. Facebook wants people to make connections, not cancel, and Burger King has been the elimination of more than friendship site social media giant comfortable with. All good things come to an end - and, finally, the Sacrifice Whopper has been sacrificed. Although some people are wondering now if it was worth losing a friend on a hamburger.
Red Bull Fan page -
This is not a campaign per se, but it deserves to be mentioned. Red Bull Fan Page is one of the most interesting places on Facebook, because it breaks the stereotype and offers content that is fun and funny - and encourages fans to interact and communicate with the brand.
The Red Bull "Boxes" section is great. An application called "Drunkish Dials" allows people to "rate of drunk dialing" telephone calls. Another section is the "Procrastination Station" - where you can learn to lose valuable time. There are tie-in with snowboarding and surfing - but we'll take a real - many people like the way Red Bull links.
