Gum HealthPosted on March 2, 2010. healthy gums? I went to the dentist there nearly a month, and he told me that my gums were looking bad and they were almost infected and if I did not start working on the others I 'd get gum disease. This scared the shit out of me, so since then I've been flossing every night and taking good care of my teeth / gums. My gums do not bleed much longer, with the exception of these two teeth where it appears and feels like I could cut the gums with the floss. I see a small red scratch those two teeth bleed when I tell them over. My gums feel better (they used to bleed a lot before you start taking care of them), so I think I may have used too much pressure on these two teeth? The cuts are to the right of where the wire would be too. Has it happened to someone else, and what can I do to get the cuts go? Thank you! You probably flossed too hard. You can get what is called a slot "thread", where the type of wire snaps into the gum. Then it will just get more irritated with a toothbrush and floss. Use a rinse with warm salt water to speed healing soft. Try an electric toothbrush and much more efficient and gentle on the gums. Try to floss gently curving wire AC-shaped around each tooth and gently slide the gum until you feel a slight resistance, then move the floss up and down to clean in the pocket. You can also get what is called a rubber tip stimulator. It has a handful of metal or plastic with a rubber tip unimportant. It is ideal for massaging the gums between your teeth and can help the gum tissue in that area. I had the same problem. My dentist told me to buy a toothbrush, such as better Sonicare toothbrush. I could not afford so I asked him for Christmas. I started using it on Christmas morning and not even a month later my gums are completely different. They are not reds, they do not bleed and they do not harm most my teeth look really white and my mouth all seems more healthy. Went to my dentist Monday and he could not believe how nice my teeth looked. He told me to make sure I continue to use the Sonicare toothbrush and Trident chewing gum after every meal also. Trident is evidence of significantly reduce gum disease and gingivitis. I highly recommend the purchase of a Sonicare toothbrush. CommentsThere are no comments.Leave a Comment |
