I heard it is good to give a hamster Cheerios, but what kind? Is it bad to give them Cheerios with Suger on them?

Try not to give your hamster Cheerios with sugar on them often, but once a week or two would be nice ....

other tidbits you can give .....

Å’ It hamsters receiving a diet that meets their nutritional needs, an inadequate diet can lead to health problems

· Water should be available at all times, pet stores sell vitamin drops which can be added to the water and are beneficial for hamsters

Å’ It is essential that it is fed a mixture specially designed for hamsters

· They need a balanced diet, should not be fed a diet that has too many vegetables and sunflower seeds

NO Cheerios with sugar for hamsters. Never give your hamster snacks that may have added salt or sugar in them. You can give them Cheerios Cheerios or multigrain base, but none of those flavored. You can also give your hamster regular corn flakes.

But remember, these are snacks, and only small amounts should be given to your hamster. The bulk of your diet should come from the hamster food that is good trademark designed for hamsters. This should represent 80% of the power of your hamster because it has the correct amount of nutrition and vitamins for the health of your little Hammie.

Only plain Cheerios would be allowed, like 3 times a week but it is not recommended. Yogies are specially formulated for hamster treats that are safe and delicious and available in cheese or fruit flavor!

I give my hamster Honey Nut Cheerios and milk because the sugar rinse. I give them these when I'm eating. Also, you can give them:

Apples
Bananas
Celery
Yogurt Drops
Bread
Toast
Oatmeal
A little cheese
Sunflower Seeds Kernels
Corn
Macaroni

yes it is good to give them regular Cheerios ... not another guy ... So do not give them the sugar coated or honeynut Cheerios

Cheerios is OK but not too much and no sugar. They also like a few slices of apple and carrot.
