Experts believe that the connection between the number of calories and a high sweetness was broken, so that the metabolism of animals did not accelerate when fed with artificial sweeteners, leading to overeating and less calories burned.
There is still no definitive study that provides solid evidence that artificial sweeteners may actually make the weight of a person more gain. In addition, developers and manufacturers of sugar-free goodies continue to believe that their products are safe and are not responsible for the problems of obesity in the United States or the world.
However, as consumers, people should be more vigilant and critical products that are sold on the market.
