Jalapeno Seasoning

I garden a little pepper, but the season is almost over. How do I save my seeds for next year? I want to save my best plants and some that have a chance at a habanero / jalapeno dipped because of proximity. Any thoughts?

Dry the peppers until the seeds rattle. Put the seeds in a plastic bag and store them until spring. planting after the last danger of frost.
