Marshmallow Launcher

I need help building marshmallow launcher.
This is a school project needed a simple machine and can be of great
it needs to be able to launch the marshmallow 1yd 5ft above the ground does slingshots, please help me brainstorm some ideas.

use a simple catapult.
It can be built with a block of wood clothes pin small block of light wood and a spoon

as such

marsh
spoon
small block of wood
clothespin
BLOCK large wood

glue them onto the other as such and push the plastic () spoon marshmallow on it.
the clothespin will then naturally narrow pen with a quick movement

flying marshmallow
