How's my diet? What should I do / eat for optimal health? Here is my daily diet:
Breakfast: Cereal, rainsens, peanuts, a banana and curd, a cup of coffee or green tea (with lemon), a multivitamin, Brahmi capsules, one gram of omega-3
Lunch: salad with garlic bread
popcorn snack: carrot or banana with peanut butter, no salt
Dinner: egg and vegetables. chowmien (made with extra virgin olive oil and vegetables. noodles); Brahmi capsules
I also drink green tea or Tibetan tea throughout the day, I excercise for 30 minutes every day and try to keep a regular sleep schedule of 8 + hours of night. I'm in my thirties, and I have not experienced health problems. The reason I'm posting because I once was deaf (for 17 years of my life) until I had a skin graft tympanolpasty which increased my hearing by 30 + decibels, so I know firsthand how life can be horrible if only a small part of the body malfunctions.
All advice welcome!
Ps - Any herbal recommended?
To start, knock out the cornflakes, it is not a good nutritious food, if we speak of Kellogg's.
Steel cut oats or regular is a better option than weet bix are organic or Brix vita.
Peanuts are the worst of nuts because they are an incomplete protein and there are so many macadamia example around better.
I would like to see a little more protein especially for lunch.
I suppose you are drinking 2 liters of water per day
Also swap the peanut butter to hummus
You are only having 6 grams of protein for dinner. Nothing against a macro nutrient that is essential for growth and repair
Only fruits mentioned are bananas. Three different fruits a day would be good.
Your diet is better than most, especially since you avoided sugar
