Chex snack mix with Japanese seaweed and sesame seeds? What is it really called? hey guys.
My friend gave me some snack today and it was Chex mix that has been cooked to be a little salty but sweet with bits of seaweed on it and sesame seeds and
Do you know what is his name?
Do you know where I can find the recipe?

This is called Arare - it is basically a mixture of different types of rice crackers, most coated with soy sauce, or with flecks of algae.
You can find large bags of the substance at any Asian market in the snack food aisle.

Furikake is any dry Japanese condiment to be sprinkled on rice. It usually consists of a mixture of raisins and ground fish, sesame seeds, chopped seaweed, sugar, salt and monosodium glutamate. Furikake is often brightly colored and fluffy. For this reason (and the prevalence of fish on the packaging) Westerners may take to feed the goldfish flakes!

You can find them like crackers or rice crackers East Japanese, generally in the Asian aisle of supermarkets and certainly in Asian supermarkets. If you have a Trader Joe's near you, they also have them.
