Vegetarian MarshmallowsBeing vegetarian During Thanksgiving

If you're hosting Thanksgiving at your house this year and we expect guests vegetarians, do not worry about preparing a meat eating large meals, vegetarian meals and another distinct. Most vegetarians do not require the equivalent of meat 'A' to Thanksgiving. Yes, Thanksgiving has traditionally been largely food. But the most important thing about family, friendliness, happiness and peace. And if this is your first Thanksgiving transition from a vegetarian lifestyle, try some of these ideas to integrate the preparation of healthy foods in your meal that your guests are vegetarians, and you as host, will be thankful for this grace:

- Cook the stuffing outside the turkey.

- Make a small portion of vegetarian gravy.

- Keep cooking utensils separate to prevent "cross contamination" between meat foods and vegetarian foods.

- When the recipes are adaptable to use as replacements vegetarian margarine soy broth (without whey formulations are suitable for vegans), soy milk, and kosher marshmallows which are made without gelatin.

- Use vegetable oils instead of animal fats for frying and shortening like Crisco for pie crust.

- Read the ingredient lists on packaged foods carefully, being aware of terms such as gelatin, whey, and "natural flavorings" which may be of animal origin.

- Prepare plenty of vegetables and fruit dishes, but leave them plain.

offer much - breads, beverages, fresh fruits and desserts non-gelatin, which are adapted without modification for most vegetarians.

- Invite your guests to prepare a vegetarian "Tofurky" or the equivalent of Turkey "vegetarian" food to share with you the rest of your guests, or if you are hosting Thanksgiving, to prepare a little. Your guests meat consumption might just be curious enough to want to try it!

- Ask your vegetarian guest assistance, advice or recipes that would complement their vegetarian options. You may find that your host offers to help in the kitchen or bring a dish of the house. Please do not take a dish at home as an insult to your kitchen, take it as a desire to share traditions at Thanksgiving. Even houses in meat consumption may enjoy good health, the idea of nutrient vegetarian recipe any time of the year!

- Most importantly - make tons of new, delicious (not overcooked) vegetables that are in perfect season as squash, sweet potatoes and green beans, etc.
